List of bank holidays/public holidays for the year 2020 declared by the Government of ODISHA under section 25 of NI act.

*All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and co-operative banks operating in entire India). Therefore, following festivals are not included in the holiday list as they fall on Sunday.

26.1.20 Republic day, 23.8.20 Nuakhai , 30.8.20 Muharram, 25.10.20 Maha Navami

If any of the holidays for the festivals of Muslim fraternity notified above does not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government or the community fraternity in government service may be granted specialĀ  holidays on the date observable.
