The UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, vide notification no. No’11/01/96-06/GA/Holiday /ll/202L-22 dated 06.10.2021 declared the following days to be Public Holidays for the year 2022 under section 25 of NI act 1881
The following holidays apply to all Industrial Establishments, Public Sector Undertakings, and Commercial Banks operating in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The Commercial Banks operating in the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu shall observe holidays declared by respective regional offices according to their norms. However, State Bank of India, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu in which Government transaction is being done, shall have to observe the holidays specified in Part – I of public holidays declared by UT administration and the Government transaction / RBI chest will remain operative on other working days.

The following days have not been notified as General Holidays as they fall on Sundays

3) 30.10.2022 Pratihar Sashthi or Surya sashti (Chat puja)
4) 25.12.2022 Christmas
All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in entire India).
