Bank holidays 2023 under NI act:  Andaman and Nicobar UT

The Administration of Andaman and Nicobar islands vide notification No. 110/2022/FNM/13/18/2022 dated 25.10.2022 declared the following days are declared for the year 2023 as public holidays under sec 25 of NI Act 1881.

*Only Banks are closed on the 1st of April every year due to the ANNUAL CLOSING of accounts.  All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in the entire India).

  • If there is any change of date in respect of RAMZAN (ID-UL-FITR), MOHARAM, and BAKRID (EID -UL-Zuha) as per the moon sight or any other holiday declared now.
