Bank holidays 2025: Assam State

The Government of Assam vide file No. E-221561/ 347, Dispur the 6th December, declared the following holidays for the year 2025 under section 25 of NI Act 1881. These holidays apply exclusively to the banks located within the State of Assam administration.

April 1, All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. This holiday rule applies to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in India). If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above do not fall on the date notified, the concerned government may alter the holiday date or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
