Who are Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)?

Foreign Institutional Investors are SEBI authorised foreign based institutions. They invest in the Indian equity market and debt market through stock exchanges. Foreign Institutional investors most notably include hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds and mutual funds.
