Bank Holidays 2020:UT ADMINISTRATION OF DADRA &NAGAR HAVELI

The collectorate of UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli declared following days to be Public Holidays for the year 2020 under section 25 of NI act 1881

  1. 26.01.2020 Republic Day  Sunday,
  2. 10.03.2020 Holi Tuesday
  3. 01.04.2020  Banks’ Annual Closing  day Wednesday
  4. 01.05.2020 Labour Day Tuesday
  5. 02.08.2020 Liberation of Dadra and Nagar Haveli Sunday,
  6. 15.08.2020 Independence Day  Saturday,
  7. 02.10.2020 Gandhi  Jayanti  Friday,
  8. 20.11.2020 Pratihar Sasthi or Surya Sasthi (Chhat Puja)  Friday

All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and co-operative banks operating in entire India).
