Bank Holidays 2022 under NI Act: Rajasthan State

The following days are declared as ‘Public Holidays’ under section 25 of the NI act for the year 2022 by the Government of Rajasthan

All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in entire India). Therefore following holidays which fall on Sunday are not included in the above list.

  1. 10.04.2022 – RAM NAVAMI ( Sunday)
  2. 10.07.2022 – ID-UL-ADHA (BAKRID) (Sunday)
  3. 02.10.2022 – MAHATMA GANDHI JAYANTI (Sunday)
  4. 25.12.2022 – CHRISTMAS (Sunday)

If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above does not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
