Bank holidays 2025 for UT OF Dadra, Nagar Haveli, Diu and Daman

The Administrator of Dadra-Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, declared public holidays with effect from 1st Jan 2025 under section 25 of Negotiable Instrument s Act 1881.

  • April 01- Tuesday Annual Closing of Bank Accounts
  • April 10-Thursday-Mahavir Jayanti
  • April 18-Friday-Good Friday
  • May 1- Thursday- May Day
  • August 09-Saturday-Raksha Bandhan
  • August 15-Friday-Independence Day
  • August 16-Saturday-Janmashtami
  • August 27-Wednesday-Ganesh Chaturthi
  • September 05-Friday-Eid e Milad
  • October 02-Thursday-Vijaya Dashami
  • October 02-Thursday-Gandhi Jayanti
  • October 20 –Monday- Diwali
  • November 05-Wednesday-Guru Nanak Jayanti
  • December 25-Thursday-Christmas Day

Banks are closed on 01.04.2025 (Tuesday) for the Annual closing of bank accounts. This holiday is not admissible to the Government offices. All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in entire India).

If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above does not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
