Bank Holidays 2025: Karnataka State

“Under the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Central Act 26 of 1881) read with the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs No. 20/25/56/Pub-1 dated 8th June 1957, the Government of KARNATAKA pleased to declare that in addition to Sundays, and 2nd and 4th Saturdays expressly defined as Public Holidays, following days are public holidays.

** Holiday declared on 01.04.2024 for the closing of Accounts of Commercial Banks and Co-operative Banks only. All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. The following holidays that fall on these days are not included in the list.

The holiday was declared on 01.04.2024 for the closing of accounts of commercial banks and co-operative banks only. All Sundays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881.

If any of the Holidays for the festivals of the Muslim Fraternity notified above does not fall on the date notified, Muslim Fraternity in Government Service may be granted a holiday by the concerned authority on the date of observance given holidays already notified.
