Bank Holidays 2025: National Capital Territory Delhi

The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has released the official list of public holidays for 2025. In a notification No.No.F.53/689/GAD/CN/2024-25/2065-2111 dated 13.11.2025 issued by the General Administration Department (Coordination Branch) on Tuesday, the L-G has declared the days as Bank holidays during 2025.

April 1, all Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule is applicable to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in entire India).

If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above do not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government, or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
