Bank Holidays for 2025: Chattisgarh State

The Government of Chhattisgarh on October 23rd, 2024 issued a list of Declaration of Holidays for the Year 2025. The notification has stated that in addition to all the Sundays already included in the public holidays under the said Explanation, the days mentioned in the following schedule will also be public holidays in the whole of Chhattisgarh for the year 2025. It also listed out the Sundays that have not been declared as separate holidays

List of bank holidays in 2025 under section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act 1881:

All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. The following festivals /occasions which fall on Sunday have been excluded from the above list.

26.01.2025 Sunday:  Republic Day

06.07.2025 Sunday: Moharram

If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above do not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government, or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
