Banks are closed on April 1 for the annual closing of accounts. This holiday applies only to banks. All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule applies to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in the entire India.
There will be no public transactions in the Banks and Financial Institutions in the State of Nagaland on the above-mentioned dates.
