GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB, DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL,(PERSONNEL POLICIES-III BRANCH) vide notification No.06/01/2024-2PP3/677 dated 11.12.2024 declared that the following days shall be observed as Holidays under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881)in the State of Punjab during the year 2025:-

April 1, all Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. (This holiday rule applies to all commercial and cooperative banks operating in the entire India).
If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above do not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government, or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
