In terms of 11th BPS, a bank clerk with effect from 1.11.2017 will get 9 stagnation increments of Rs 1990 each once in 2 years after reaching maximum wage of Rs.47920-. Bank Sub-staff will also get 9 stagnation increments of Rs 1000 each once in 2 years after reaching maximum Pay Scale of Rs.28145-. So, with the addition of 9 stagnation increments, the Basic salary of a clerk can reach up to Rs.65830 and a sub-staff will be up to 37145- at the last stage. In the previous settlement (10th BPS) effective from 1.11.2012, the clerical staff was getting 8 stagnation increments of Rs.1310 each after reaching maximum wage of Rs.31540 and sub-staff were getting 8 stagnation increments of Rs.655 each after reaching maximum wage of Rs.18545. The maximum basic salary of a clerical staff with the addition of 8 stagnation increments was 42020 and that of a sub-staff was Rs.23785-.
Stagnation increments of Bank Officers:
In terms of Officer service regulation 5(b) in 7th Joint Note, an officer after reaching maximum of higher scale in scale I, II, III, and IV, were eligible for stagnation increments. Accordingly, Officers in Scale I was eligible for Stagnation increments after reaching the maximum of higher scale for every 3 years. Officers in Scale-II were eligible for 3 Stagnation increments after reaching the maximum of higher scale for every 3 years and the 4th stagnation increment was after 2 years or more of 3rd stagnation increment w.e.f 1.5.2015. Officers in Scale III were eligible for 4 Stagnation increments after reaching the maximum of higher scale for every 3 years and the 5th stagnation increment was after 2 years or more after the release of 4th stagnation increment w.e.f 1.5.2015 whichever is later. The officers in scale IV were eligible for stagnation increment of Rs.1650 after 3years of reaching maximum or w.e.f 1.5.2015 whichever is later. The amount of each stagnation increments as per 7th Joint note dated 15.5.2015 is described in Annexure -I
With effect from 1st November 2017, as per 8th Joint note (11th BPS), the officers in scale I, and II, who are/were in service of the bank as of 1.11.2017, will be eligible for five stagnation increments after every 2 completed years. However, the fifth stagnation increment is released 2 years after the release of the 4th stagnation increment or w.e.f 1.11.2017 whichever is later. The officer in scale III is eligible for 6 stagnation increments. The sixth stagnation increment of Rs.2500 is released to Scale III officers 2 years after the release of the 5th stagnation increment or w.e.f 1.11.2017 whichever is later. Officers of scale IV were eligible for one stagnation increment of Rs.2500- after 2 years of reaching maximum scale. Further, Scale IV officers will be eligible for one additional stagnation increment of Rs.2730- after 2 years of receipt of first stagnation increments or w.e.f 1.11.2017, whichever is later. The amount of each stagnation increments as per the 8th Joint note is detailed in Annexure-II
The Stagnation increments received by the officers of scale I to IV who are/were in service of the bank as of 1.11.2017 as per the periodicity hereinbefore would be readjusted from 3 years periodicity to 2 years periodicity from the date of reaching the maximum and the officer is notionally eligible for stagnation increments w.e.f 1.11.2017 (in terms of 8th Joint note), as per the revised periodicity which will qualify for superannuation benefits. However monetary benefit on account of such revised and readjusted periodicity of stagnation increment/s shall be payable from 1.11.2020 or the actual date of entitlement whichever is later.
Officers in Scale V shall be eligible for one stagnation increment of Rs.2970- after 2 years of reaching the maximum of scale or w.e.f. 1.11.2020 whichever is later.

Fitment shall be a stage to stage i.e. on the corresponding stage from the 1st stage onwards and the increments shall fall on the anniversary date as usual.
Bank employees can get gratuity arrear on stagnation increment on 11Bps ,who retired on 31.12.2018
Gratuity will be revised based on the revised pay w.e.f 01.11.2017 and accordingly, arrears will be paid on eligible cases.
