In a move to simplify immigration and enhance digital compliance, the Government of India has introduced mandatory online submission of the Electronic Arrival (e-Arrival) Card for all foreign nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders traveling to India.
This update supports India’s ongoing initiative toward paperless and tech-enabled border processes.
Key Requirement
From 1 October 2025, travelers must **complete and submit the e-Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arriving in India.

Who Needs to Fill It
* All foreign nationals entering India
* All OCI cardholders (Overseas Citizens of India)

> 🛑 Indian nationals are not required to fill this form.
How to Submit the e-Arrival Card
Step 1: Visit the Bureau of Immigration (BoI) portal or open the *Su-Swagatam* app.
Step 2: Enter your personal and travel details.
Step 3: Review and submit the form securely.
Step 4: Receive digital confirmation and proceed to immigration on arrival.

The Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Scheme, launched in 2005, allows people of Indian origin to enjoy visa-free entry, long-term stay, and participation in India’s educational and business opportunities — without losing their foreign citizenship.
OCI cardholders are also eligible to appear for NEET, JEE (Mains/Advanced), and other entrance exams (except for seats reserved exclusively for Indian citizens).
