INSTRUCTIONS
DESIGN
You do not require a password to use this Excel calculator. Not all of the cells in the sheet are protected. Here’s how it’s designed:
- Blue cells: These cells are editable. You can input your own data and values here.
- White cells: These cells contain formulas that are essential for the sheet’s calculations. They are locked to prevent accidental changes made to formula cells that could disrupt the results. The document is protected only to ensure that the calculator functions correctly and reliably, especially when shared among multiple users.
BASIC SALARY
- Click cell B10 and choose your salary from the drop-down list.
- If your salary changed or you retired during this period, click the cell for the correct month and update the salary.
PQP and FPP (if applicable):
- Click cell E10 to update PQP from the drop-down list.
- if you are eligible for the new PQP amount of Rs.5480, change the value in cell range E32 to E48.
- Click cell F10 to update FPP from the drop-down list.
CCA Centres:
- Click cell K10 and select your CCA area (non-CCA, lower, or higher).
OFFICIATING ALLOWANCE
If you are eligible for the officiating allowance, manually enter the amount in any cell within these ranges:

- Old/existing salary table: H10 to H26
- New salary table: H32 to H48
HRA %:
- Click cell M10 and choose the applicable HRA % from the drop-down list.
CAIIB INCREMENTS
- To add CAIIB increments, find the section labeled “INCREMENTS” in your Excel tool.
- Click on any cell from C32 to C48. Choose the correct CAIIB increment applicable to you from the drop-down list..
That’s it! Your arrears are now calculated. Scroll down to compare your old and new salary, and see your potential arrears and take-home pay.
Depending on your screen size, you might need to scroll right to see columns like Gross Salary, PF/NPS deductions, and Net Salary.
