Banking ethics is a committed set of ethical standards and rules that should be followed in the activities of financial institutions and employees of the banking sector. Every employee of the Bank shall conform to and abide by laws in the course of performance of their job duties. Bank employees are obligated to inform their customers about the benefits and risks of products and services offered by the bank and deliver courtesy and attention in all transactions to customers buying such services. An employee shall maintain the strictest secrecy regarding the bank’s internal affairs of confidential nature. They are forbidden from divulging any information about their customers, which come to their knowledge due to their positions and duties, to any person unless compelled to do so by the judicial authority, or unless instructed to do so by a superior officer in the discharge of his/her duties. The employees of the bank should be careful in their activities in such a way that any of their acts shall not lead to any loss of reputation of the bank.
No employee shall use the bank’s assets, properties, and resources for non-intended purposes. Employees of the banks are prohibited to derive any personal benefits for themselves or for others out of their own work environments or their customers’ facilities by using their job positions and duties. They are also prohibited from entering into non-ethical relations with customers, such as indebtedness, personal guarantee and opening of joint accounts,
