Bank Holidays 2024: Chattisgarh State

The Government of Chhattisgarh in its circular No  1-1/2023/1-5  dated 05.11.2024 declared the following days to be Bank holidays (Public holidays) during the year 2024 under the explanation of section 25 of NI Act 1881.

All Sundays and 2nd & 4th Saturdays are Bank Holidays under the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1881. The following festivals /occasions which fall on Sunday have been excluded from the above list.

Mahavir Jayanti  on 21.04.2024 (Sunday)

 If any of the holidays for the festivals of the Muslim fraternity notified above do not fall on the date notified, the holiday date may be altered by the concerned government, or the community fraternity in government service may be granted special holidays on the date observable.
